HitachiSoft places great importance on R&D and strives to lead the way in research and development. In particular, we are promoting development with a global scope in the advanced fields of security, life science, internet, document management, geographic information system,storage-related products and satellite imagery data service. For example, we established Life Science Research Laboratory which becomes the base of a biotechnology enterprise to Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama-shi. In addition, we are promoting the buildup and sharing of technical information in cooperation with Shinsyu University and Keio University, and exchanging technologies and promoting educational collaboration with national and foreign research institutes. We are also focusing on obtaining intellectual property such as patents for new technology and business models, resulting in 904 new patents worldwide.
