Conformity with ISMS Authentication Standard for Safety and Confidence of Customers
HitachiSoft Launches the "Hibun 2004" Concept for Information Security
- Attainment of Contracting One Million Licenses in Total within This Fiscal Year for "Hibun" for Which 250,000 Licenses Have Already Been Contracted -

HitachiSoft (Hitachi Software Engineering Co., Ltd. based in Shinarawa-ku, Tokyo, with Takeo Ogawa as the CEO and president) releases the "Hibun 2004 concept" conforming to the ISMS authentication standard (*) for the introduction, operation, monitoring and review of the information security system and will start marketing of the "Hibun AE Secure Inspector" and "Hibun AE WebGuard". The "Hibun" series has already been delivered to the banking, public, and many other corporations who are sensitive to information security as the best selling series covering 250,000 licenses so far. Compliance with the management plan of the ISMS authentication standard realized this time implements an advanced information security solution. The "Hibun" series products to be developed in the future according to the new "Hibun 2004" concept will establish total information security in preparation for thorough enforcement of "The Act for Protection of Computer Processed Personal Data" starting from April 1,2005. The Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) management cycle in the ISMS standard is necessary in planning continuous security reinforcement. Since most of the products now available on the market cover only a part of the PDCA cycle, they will fail in establishing comprehensive systems, and each customer may need complicated management by combining the products of different makes. The "Hibun 2004" concept totally supports the PDCA cycle to implement a full-fledged security system. The two above-said products are added first to the lineup this time, and many more will be released in the future so as to make the series as the de facto standard for information security. The sales plan for this first fiscal year is one million licenses, or 7 billion yen, in total. (*) ISMS (Information Security Management System) Authentication Standard: This has been established as the Japanese information security standard based on BS7799 as the international standard for information security protection.
