An alliance of the nine firms noted below has been formed for "studying, suggesting and proposing definite security management plans for general enterprises" for the first time in the industry. This alliance will provide free diagnosis related to information security that has become the most important task in recent corporate management so as to enable customers to establish security policies based on appropriate countermeasures proposed against possible information disclosure. This will facilitate security actions in enterprises so as to greatly reduce social problems resulting from personal and corporate data disclosures.

This first alliance in the industry will establish the "Security Standard" for various points of business (Internet, information servers, open sites, etc.) and propose definite solutions and management method to protect enterprises from the danger of information disclosure. The Security Standard conforms to JIS X 5080, the domestic security standard based on IT. The alliance will also provide advice and consultations from legal viewpoints.
Personal information disclosures occurring successively in recent years are bringing about great impacts on corporate management. Security has now become the task given the top priority in many companies. Regardless of the warning advocated through mass media, no definite security policies have been established as yet. Furthermore, there is no comprehensive product that can prevent information disclosure by itself. As a result, many enterprises are looking for a sound solution. An enterprise that provides the optimum product, overall solution and definite action plans is strongly needed under the present situations. To satisfy such a demand, the nine firms have come to form an alliance for implementing security solutions.
With regard to this alliance, we have received comprehensive, definite advice from Mr. Jiro Makino, a lawyer well versed in IT related lawsuit countermeasures. He commented as follows: "We, at Makino General Law Office, welcome the birth of this alliance for security protection. Information disclosure has been adding to its importance so much to endanger the existence of corporations. Almost all enterprises, however, will be at a loss where to start their actions concerning this matter. We hope that this alliance of nine companies will serve as the gateway to the solution of this problem."
In the future, we plan to increase partner companies by strengthening the linkage with the nine firms as the core. We will also study to provide ASP services mainly for enterprises of medium and minor standings to enable more companies to establish sound security systems. The solution planned by the alliance this time is roughly as illustrated below.
