- HitachiSoft Launches New Plasma Models "P-61XN and P-55XH" -
HitachiSoft (Hitachi Software engineering Co., Ltd. based in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo with Takeo Ogawa as the CEO and president) has developed new plasma type models "P-61XV and P-55XN" in the interactive electronic board "Starboard" series that effectively and efficiently assist digital presentations as well as IT-based conferences and lectures, for worldwide marketing in Japan, Europe, North America and Asia from this August.
Presentations, conferences and education utilizing digital data have been showing a very rapid progress. Effective use of digital data and contents allows more effective information transfer not only in conferences and presentations in companies but also in lectures and seminars at schools. Furthermore, companies and schools utilizing teleconferences for communication with remote locations for reducing traveling expenses and time are increasing greatly. The data sharing function, as a standard StarBoard function, will allow smoother communication with remote locations for effective conferences and lectures. HitachiSoft has already supplied more than 30,000 units of StarBoard to the market by advocating "readily understandable, errorless multimedia communications".
The "P-61XN" is launched as the next model of the 61" plasma type, and the "P-55XH" as a 55" type plasma model for reinforcement of the middle range. Both models, similarly as the existing "P-50XN", allow finger operation in addition to electronic pin operation. Since they allow very clear display of PC screen images, they can be used for reviewing drawings and CAD data on a high-resolution screen. As regards the software, conventional functions are integrated while greatl y improving the user interface. Presentation supporting functions have also been reinforced while strengthening linkage with electronic data prepared by Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for growth into an easy-to-use software package.
A sales campaign in commemorating the launch of new of new products will be inaugurated for contracted dealers. A summer campaign for existing series will also be conducted for dealers.
1. Product Features
The high-precision plasma display screen can represent PC screen images beautifully and sharply. Precise data such as CAD drawings can be displayed clearly for reviewing.
2. Easy operation with a finger or electronic pen
Electronic pen operation, handwriting input, and finger operation are possible. The Starboard also plays a role of a touch panel for use as an IT signboard.
3. Picture In Picture function
Use of the PinP (Picture in Picture) function allows display video images (teleconference system images) to be displayed on the PC screen to eliminate the need of any TV receiver. (An optional unit is necessary in the case of the P-55XH.)
