Crystal Tablet and Front Portable Models Begin
Tokyo, Japan, Sept 8, 2005 - HitachiSoft has released two new models in its interactive digital board "DigitalBoard" (marketed overseas as the "StarBoard") series. Sales of the "T-17SXL", a 17-inch liquid crystal tablet model, have started, and it has already started shipping worldwide - in Japan, Europe, North America, Asia. The "F-Portable", or 'front-portable' model, which easily attaches to pre-existing whiteboards and blackboards, will ship in Japan starting in September.
Presentations, conferences, and classes using digital data have taken a great leap forward. Now, more effective presentation of digital data, in business conferences as well as schools and seminars, will make the dissemination of information more effective than ever before. Moreover, today video conferencing continues to become more popular as a means of communication with distant sites as businesses and schools use it more and more to reduce travel time and expenses. If data sharing, a standard DigitalBoard feature, is used, dissemination of information to distant sites becomes even smoother, making conferences and classes even more effective. HitachiSoft has already sold a total of 30,000 DigitalBoards, under the motto "Understand, be Understood, Multimedia Communications".
Sales of this latest addition to our line up, the "T-17SXL", a new 17-inch liquid crystal tablet model, have now begun. Like the pre-existing "T-15XL", it has, in addition to its pen-driven interface, eight function buttons, which can be set to operate each DigitalBoard software function, facilitating full-screen operation by obviating the need for pull-down menus. It also has an output signal jack (RGB jack) which, when using the tablet function and a liquid crystal projector, allows the operator to project on a big screen actions performed manually on the tablet in front of him/her.
Sales of the "F-Portable", which gives the user the 'Freedom to Move About', have also begun. It consists of a projector, which displays the computer's screen, and an electronic pen, which controls the computer, that the user can operate while walking around. This model can be affixed by its magnets to pre-existing whiteboards and blackboards, making it very convenient for use in classrooms and conference rooms. Compared to previous front models, it is competitively priced, does not require any set-up, is portable, and can be set up wherever the projector is, since the user can operate the digital content of the screen from anywhere in the room using the included electronic pen.
